In the cybersecurity realm October has become synonymous with National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM). Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility among all people. In fact, NCSAM was created to “ensure every American has the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online.” While the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA) kicks off this year’s “Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart” theme, WaterISAC is proud to be among fellow ISAC/ISAO NCSAM 2020 Champions – Auto-ISAC, IT-ISAC, REN-ISAC, RH-ISAC, National Credit Union ISAO, CompTIA ISAO, and Faith-Based ISAO.
In light of NCSAM, we've invented our own ‘15 Cybersecurity Fundamentals Awareness Month’ (15CFAM). Inspired by our own 15 Cybersecurity Fundamentals for Water and Wastewater Utilities guide, 15CFAM is designed to bring greater awareness and reminders to some cybersecurity best practices that utilities should be focused on toward enhancing resilience for the water and wastewater sector. Join us as we explore these practices all month!
