DHS has just released a new guide, Violence Prevention: Resources for Federal, State, Local, Tribal, Territorial, and Private Sector Homeland Security Partners, to assist security personnel across the country. The guide features numerous online resources from the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), including resources to help infrastructure personnel reduce their operational risks. It also provides information on training courses offered by FEMA and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and grant programs like Targeted Violence and Terrorism Prevention (TVTP). In addition, it describes the National Threat Assessment Center managed by the United States Secret Service, which offers research, training, and guidance on threat assessments and the prevention of targeted violence to public and private sector institutions. All resources in the guide are free.
