Dragos joins WaterISAC’s list of Champions. Dragos protects operational technology (OT) in critical infrastructure from adversaries who wish to do harm. Dragos provides industrial defenders around the globe with technology, threat intelligence, and services to protect against cyber threats and challenges.

The WaterISAC Champion program was formed to increase resources, promote best practices, and deliver ongoing value to members and all utilities in the water and wastewater sector.  The addition of Dragos to the Champion program will provide a new and unique set of assets for WaterISAC members.  

“As Dragos works to address the resource gap within critical infrastructure, we are excited to become a WaterISAC Champion,” says Dawn Cappelli, Dragos OT-CERT Director. “Through our OT-CERT program in particular, which provides free cybersecurity resources to the IT/OT community and sector, we aim to address this gap for water and other small and medium-sized organizations that have limited in-house cybersecurity expertise and lack the financial and technical resources to address ICS/OT cybersecurity risks.”

Dragos is seen as a leader in the industrial cybersecurity field and its OT-CERT program continues to expand offerings and provide complimentary resources to utilities around the world. OT-CERT was created one year ago, and now has more than 1,000 members, including many from the water and wastewater sector. OT-CERT’s resources and monthly interactive working sessions provide members with the tools and community they need to address the complexity of OT cybersecurity.

“Adding Dragos to the list of WaterISAC Champions is a great step in the ongoing efforts to secure and reduce risks within the water and wastewater sector,” says Tom Dobbins, Executive Director of WaterISAC. “Champions like Dragos and others are vital in our mission to inform and share with those responsible for critical infrastructure”.

Dragos joined WaterISAC at the first H2OSecCon in 2022, and helped conduct the cybersecurity TTX, “Are You Ready for an OT-impacting Ransomware Incident?”. The collaboration will continue throughout 2023.
