The Colorado State University’s (CSU’s) Tropical Meteorology Project has released its two-week forecast of Atlantic seasonal hurricane activity for September 28 to October 11, as well as its outlook for October-November Caribbean cyclone activity.

This is a shorter term forecast than CSU’s seasonal forecasts, and it simply tracks if hurricane activity will be below-normal, normal, or above-normal for the time period. Researchers estimate a 60% chance of hurricane activity for September 28 to October 11, which is above-normal. Furthermore, October-November cyclone activity in the Caribbean is predicted to be below-average, resulting in a quieter end to the 2023 hurricane season. Access the full report at CSU.
