Cybersecurity firm Kaspersky Lab and research consulting firm PAC collaborated on a recent study on the State of Industrial Cybersecurity 2018. The study investigated concerns regarding cyber attacks in industrial control environments, including likelihood of becoming a victim, as well as attack detection capabilities. While over three-quarters (77%) of respondents believe their organization will likely become the target of a cyber attack involving their industrial control network, nearly half (48%) do not have any measures in place to detect such attacks. Likewise, over half (51%) of those surveyed stated they had not been affected by a cybersecurity incident during the past year; however, it is reasonable to conclude the aforementioned lack of detection capability, in part, contributes to this statistic. The study further examined external and internal factors impacting industrial cybersecurity, along with current and planned strategies and measures. Kaspersky Lab.
