Cybersecurity firm Kaspersky Lab and research consulting firm PAC collaborated on a recent study on the State of Industrial Cybersecurity 2018. The study investigated concerns regarding cyber attacks in industrial control environments, including likelihood of becoming a victim, as well as attack detection capabilities. While over three-quarters (77%) of respondents believe their organization will likely become the target of a cyber attack involving their industrial control network, nearly half (48%) do not have any measures in place to detect such attacks. Likewise, over half (51%) of those surveyed stated they had not been affected by a cybersecurity incident during the past year; however, it is reasonable to conclude the aforementioned lack of detection capability, in part, contributes to this statistic.
