The Water Research Foundation, in conjuction with AWWA and U.S. EPA, developed a business continuity planning guidance document, template, and online training video for water utilities. The goal of a business continuity plan is to maintain solid operations across all functions of an organization following an incident, and producing strategic guidance on how to develop a business continuity plan was one of the top priorities outlined by the Water Sector Coordinating Council in its Strategic Roadmap document.
