Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Month, observed in the month of November, builds awareness and appreciation of the importance of critical infrastructure and reaffirms the nationwide commitment to keep our critical infrastructure and our communities safe and secure. The White House’s proclamation regarding Critical Infrastructure and Resilience Month emphasizes the importance of strengthening partnerships between the government and the private sector, enabling the leveraging of resources and capabilities of those who own and operate the vast majority of the nation’s critical infrastructure. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center’s (NCCIC’s) statement marking the occasion similarly calls on the private sector to take on the mission of protecting critical infrastructure and offers a set of resources to help. These include cybersecurity best practices, information on how to report cybersecurity incidents, and links to a wide array of free tools and resources to support the critical infrastructure security and resilience mission.
